Root Canal Therapy

Root canal therapy is required when the nerve of a tooth is affected by decay or infection. In order to save the tooth, all living tissues inside the tooth such as nerve is removed and the resulting space is filled with special medicated dental material.

Below are the most commons scenarios where root can therapy is used:

  • Decay has reached the tooth pulp (nerve)
  • Infection or abscess have developed inside the tooth or at the root tip inside the jaw
  • Injury or trauma to the tooth

Root canal therapy is usually concluded in multiple visits (1-3 visits).
